The curse of the Weathered sandwich by Mark Antony Raines

The Curse of the Weathered Sandwich

The Curse of the Weathered Sandwich

A Horror Story
by Mark Antony Raines

Whilst investigating the death of a local cleaner, a virtuous fishmonger called Tom Chen uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, weathered sandwich circulating throughout Scotland. As soon as anyone uses the sandwich, he or she has exactly 365 days left to live.
The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look upside-down. A marked person feels like a splendid giraffe to touch.
Tom gets hold of the sandwich, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: a tiny koala balancing on a curvy cleaner, an old newspaper headline about a fang accident, a hooded horse ranting about feet and a drinking well located in a deserted place.
When Tom notices his warts have giraffe-like properties, he realises that the curse of the weathered sandwich is true and calls in his wife, a teacher called Nadine Willis, to help.
Nadine examines the sandwich and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the tiny koala balancing on a curvy cleaner particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.
Tom and Nadine pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded horse. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
