The Curse of the Giant Newspaper A Horror Story by Freddy the freak

The Curse of the Giant Newspaper

A Horror Story
by Freddy the freak

Whilst investigating the death of a local lawyer, a grateful computer programmer called Morwenna Cockle uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, giant newspaper circulating throughout Ireland. As soon as anyone uses the newspaper, he or she has exactly 75 days left to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look upside-down. A marked person feels like an idyllic goldfish to touch.

Morwenna gets hold of the newspaper, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into her mind: a squat koala balancing on a pink lawyer, an old newspaper headline about a hit and run accident, a hooded frog ranting about elbows and a drinking well located in an industrial place.

When Morwenna notices her eyebrows have goldfish-like properties, she realises that the curse of the giant newspaper is true and calls in her wife, a private detective called Ruth Parker, to help.

Ruth examines the newspaper and willingly submits herself to the curse. She finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. She finds the squat koala balancing on a pink lawyer particularly chilling. She joins the queue for a supernatural death.

Morwenna and Ruth pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded frog. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
