t.n. a news and history .

-sad to see a wrestling company i have watched from the beginning no longer  going to be on british television and looks like going the same fate as wcw and  only wwe to watch ,i shall miss it .We know that many TNA fans will be disappointed to hear this, but we wanted to let you all know that as of January 2017, Challenge will no longer be the home of TNA in the UK. TNA has been a huge and important part of Challenge’s story over the years and we will treasure some great moments like the British Bootcamp and UK tours. We have been proud to bring UK viewers coverage of TNA and have huge respect for the company and its fans. TNA is packed with great talent and we know they will continue to do great things – we wish them all the best.                                                                        The history of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling dates back to the early 2002 when it was founded by Jeff and Jerry Jarrett in May 2002 as NWA:Total Nonstop Action (NWA-TNA). It underwent name a name change from NWA-TNA due to a working relationship with the National Wrestling Alliance to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2007 when TNA and the NWA ending their working relationship.
TNA is the second largest professional wrestling company in the United States.[1] It has promoted some of the most successful wrestlers and storylines, and featured some of the most iconic and significant matches and moments in the history of the professional wrestling. TNA currently airs several programs such as Impact Wrestling and TNA Xplosion in more than 20 countries, hosting pay-per-view events yearly including Bound for Glory the company's biggest event of the year. The concept of TNA originated shortly after World Championship Wrestling (WCW) ended in 2001. Bob Ryder, Jeff Jarrett, and Jerry Jarrett went on a fishing trip and contemplated their futures in the sport of wrestling.[2] Only one wrestling product remained on U.S. national television: theWorld Wrestling Federation (WWF). Ryder felt[2] that this situation led many television stations to regard wrestling as bad for business; he suggested a company not reliant on television, but rather one going straight to pay-per-view.
The Jarretts found the financial backing they needed, and the company put on its first show on June 19, 2002. That night, however, in a dark match just before they went on the air, a 450 lb wrestler named Cheex hit the ropes with so much force that one of them broke. The estimated repair time was 30–60 minutes, which they did not have because the schedule called for them to go live in a few minutes, whether the ring was ready or not. Backstage, the producers shuffled the schedule so that some non-wrestling segments went first to give the ring crew some more time, but they did not have many of them. The ring crew fixed the rope with the help of Ron and Don Harris, and everyone went live hoping for the best.[2]
Initially, TNA's weekly pay-per-view show operated as the company's main source of revenue, in place of monthly pay-per-view events used by other promotions. These shows started on June 19, 2002, and took place mostly at the Tennessee State Fairground Sports Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, nicknamed the TNA Asylum. After 27 months and 111 PPVs, TNA began[3] holding a weekly television show and monthly three-hour pay-per-views. The last weekly PPV took place on September 8, 2004. TNA Xplosion launched on November 27, 2002 as TNA's first regular cable show and featured exclusive matches from the TNA Asylum as well as exclusive interviews with TNA Wrestlers. On November 18, 2004, the show became a recap show of the previous week's Impact! in light of alterations in the taping schedule. Xplosion resumed airing exclusive matches (billed as "Xplosion Xclusives") once more on October 7, 2005 in addition to recapping Impact!. The "Xplosion Xclusives" also aired on the now-ceased TNA Global Impact! internet show. Airing of Xplosion in the United States ceased at the end of 2006, although some of the exclusive matches can be seen on TNA Today.read more -wiki link

Herpes treatment for skin cancer

Herpes simplex
The herpes virus could help to treat the advanced stages of the most serious form of skin cancer, researchers have discovered. Herpes simplex is the virus that causes cold sores. Previous laboratory research has shown that a mutant form of the virus has improved the survival times of animals with malignant melanoma tumours. The virus is also known to reproduce itself more rapidly in human cancer cells, rather than in healthy cells, leading to their death. A team from the University of Glasgow carried out a preliminary study to discover whether a safe, genetically modified version of the virus could be safely used on patients. I would hope that herpes simplex might be included in non-surgical therapy for this disease in the future Professor Rona MacKie, Glasgow University Five patients with advanced skin cancer that has spread to-READ MORE -http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/1171667.stm-HPOEFULLY THIS ARTICLE IS TRUE EN D WILL HELP END CANCER

Neuropathy is not a single disease - instead, it is a complication found in a number of different underlying medical conditions. It can also be seen without the cause being diagnosed, when doctors called it "idiopathic." The term neuropathy is short for peripheral neuropathy, meaning nerve damage in the peripheral nervous system. Only nerves outside of the brain and spinal cord are involved, so peripheral neuropathy does not include nerve damage in the central nervous system. Contents of this article: What is neuropathy? What causes neuropathy? Signs and symptoms of neuropathy Tests and diagnosis Neuropathy treatment and prevention More information You will also see introductions at the end of some sections to any recent developments that have been covered by MNT's news stories. Also look out for links to information about related conditions. Fast facts on neuropathy Here are some key points about neuropathy. More detail and supporting information is in the main article. Neuropathy is a complication found in a number of different underlying medical conditions. Neuropathy is short for peripheral neuropathy. Three types of nerve can be involved; autonomic nerves, motor nerves and sensory nerves. Physical trauma, repetitive injury, infection, metabolic problems and exposure to toxins and some drugs can all lead to peripheral neuropathy. Most cases of neuropathy are found in people who have diabetes2 (diabetic neuropathy). With neuropathy as a complication of diabetes, up to 50% of people affected may be completely asymptomatic.4,9 People commonly describe the pain of neuropathy as being a tingling or burning sensation.2 Being tested for neuropathy is routine for diabetes sufferers. Whether single or multiple nerves are affected, the underlying cause can, in many cases, be targeted for treatment.2,7 For toxic causes, removing exposure to a toxin, or stopping a culprit drug, will halt further nerve damage.read more-http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/147963.php-my personal story started  in 2001 i have ulna and cerival which affects me via balance, body movements, dizzy like coming off a childrens roundabout most of the  time on gabapentin 300 mg times four a  day.

Rocky Horror sequel set for London

sShock Treatmenthock Treatment, originally filmed in 1981, was a satire of celebrity, with Rocky Horror characters Brad and Janet trapped in a sinister TV game show. It was a commercial disaster - The Washington Post called it "ludicrous" - and it never gained a general release. O'Brien has reworked the story for its stage debut, which will take place at London's King's Head Theatre in April. "Shock Treatment has been waiting patiently in the wings for a stage premiere since the film was released in 1981," said O'Brien. "Just as Rocky began life upstairs at the Royal Court, it seems a perfect fit for Shock Treatment to start its stage life in the effervescent atmosphere of the astounding King's Head Theatre." Before its DVD release in 2006, very few people had seen Shock Treatment. One exception was the BBC's Mark Kermode, who called it the "perfect cult movie". "It's arguable the soundtrack album is better than Rocky Horror," he said. "It's also packed with cameo roles from people on the rise - not just Ruby Wax but Rik Mayall, long before he found big screen fame in Drop Dead Fred. "But the best thing about Shock Treatment is it eerily predicts the rise of reality television," he added. Kermode's opinion was in the minority, however. US reviewers lamented the loss of Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon, who played Brad and Janet in the original. and branded the film "tiresome" and "junk". "It's a lesson for film-makers: You can't force a cult film, they just happen," wrote The Washington Post's reviewer, Rita Kempley. Shock Treatment is preceded at the King's Head Theatre by the 21st anniversary revival of Trainspotting, which was first seen at this year's Edinburgh Fringe. Other highlights of the theatre's new season include a new play by Richard Cameron, The Flannelettes, and a revival of Gilbert and Sullivan's Ruddigore.years ago i saw the rocky horror show in a theatre in essex on a opening night all sorts were dressed up as chaacters for the play it was a great night plus a sing along.

Halyomorpha halys -stink bug is coming

brown stink bugBrown marmorated stink bug Halyomorpha halys, also known as the brown marmorated stink bug, or simply the stink bug, is an insect in the family Pentatomidae, and it is native to China, Japan and Taiwan. Wikipedia Scientific name: Halyomorpha halys-this so called stink bug is expected to be visiting british shores.Name is due to the bug giving off a garbage like smell.

Dealing With Stink Bugs

“Uughh!  What is that smell?  It’s these bugs! They really smell foul!”  We are hearing this more and more these days. The Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) has become firmly entrenched here in the U.S. After being accidentally introduced from Asia into Pennsylvania in the late 1990’s, it has quickly spread across the country and become a major pest to both home owners and farmers alike.

Getting Rid of Stink Bugs and Control for homes

Prevention:
The key to getting rid of and eliminating indoor stink bugs in the spring is preventing their entry in the fall. Once they have entered the home, there aren't a lot of treatment options. The easiest way to remove them once they are indoors is with a vacuum cleaner; however the vacuum may take on the characteristic smell of the stink bug.  If you’ve had them you know the smell.
Mechanical Exclusion:
Mechanical exclusion is the best method to keep stink bugs from entering homes and buildings. Cracks around windows, doors, siding, utility pipes, behind chimneys, and underneath the wood fascia and other openings should be sealed with good quality silicone or silicone-latex caulk.  Damaged screens on doors and windows should be repaired or replaced.
Spraying the exterior of the home early in the fall can offer an additional layer of protection.
Pest Control Treatment for Stink bugs
Products such as D-Fense SC , Cyzmic CSBifen ITCyper WP, and Demon WP are very effective at preventing the stink bugs from congregating on the side of the home, thus preventing their entry. Timing of the application is important. As the night time temperatures dip into the low 50's or lower you can expect the stink bugs to arrive.  Focus on spraying the south and west exposure of the house.  The more surface area you cover the better the results will be.  This may require the use of a ladder to reach the uppermost areas around the roof.  Remember to use proper ladder safety protocol and, as always, be sure to read and follow all label directions for the pesticide you are using.
So keep in mind that while stink bugs are a nuisance they can be dealt with.  It's not easy or fun to do but avoiding the stinky smell they bring is worth the effort.

When and Where Stink Bugs Are A Problem

The problem for home owners begins in the fall.  As the temperatures begin to drop, the stink bugs try to stay warm by clustering on the sides of homes and other buildings.  They are particularly fond of the south and west sides of the building because those sides are warmed by the afternoon sun.  Many stink bugs will congregate there and they will inevitably work their way into the building through small cracks or crevices, door jams, attic vents, and other gaps in the structure.   They are seeking a suitable place to stay warm and spend the winter.  Once inside the building, they go dormant and they fully expect to stay dormant until spring.  The problem is that every time there is a warm sunny winter day their hiding spot warms up and they think it is spring.  After spending the winter months tucked away in the walls or the attic, they have simply forgotten how they got in. In their effort to get back outside they accidently end up inside the home. They don't want to be inside at all.  They are merely looking for a way to get outside. This may happen all at once in the spring, or be sporadic all through the winter and spring, depending on the weather.
Identification:
Stink bugs can range in colors, but are commonly green or brown. They are about 5/8 inch long. The adults have a triangular thorax. All stink bugs have the characteristic five-sided shield shape. Their eggs are barrel shaped . Sting Bugs nymphs resemble adults in shape but are smaller and have contrasting color patterns
Stink bugs give out a foul odor.

Damage:
Stink bugs feed on plants and shrubbery. Generally thought of as an agricultural pest, stink bugs will take up residence around any garden or landscape rich with plants and flowers.
Stink bugs feed on buds and seedpods, sucking juice from plants. This results from badly formed buds and fruit.
Diet:
Plants are the primary source of food for stink bugs. They feed by sucking on the sap from pods, buds, blossoms and seeds. Some species of stink bugs even feed on juices from caterpillars and beetle larva. They are often crop pests on cabbage, cotton, beans, squash or melons.
Life Cycle and History:
Stink bugs do not reproduce inside, therefore they invade homes from the outside. They go through a simple metamorphosis: egg, nymph, and adult.
There are one to two generations of stink bugs each year .Peak population sizes occur in late September to early October. It is during these months that stink bugs may become agricultural pests. Adults are sometimes dormant in the winter, overwintering in logs, leaf litter or other similar habitats where they are unlikely to be disturbed
Nymphs feed throughout the summer and molt to adults in late summer.
The eggs of a stink bug can be found on the underside of leaves in clumps of 20-30 eggs. Adults mate in the spring and females will lay eggs on plants. These eggs will be laid in groups and are not plant specific. The eggs are oval in shape, ranging from light yellow to a yellowish-reddish color, equipped with tiny spines forming fine lines along the eggs.  The nymphs, similar in appearance to the adult stink bug, are differentiated by its lack of wings. From the nymph stage, the stink bug will molt (5 stages)before becoming a full grown adult. They take a couple months to mature.
Due to milder temperatures the South has the highest populations.
