LINDA ANNETTE INTERVIEW

TASHAH CLAYMORE INTERVIEW
Tashah Claymore from Twitter here! These are my answers to your interview questions.
Q: What inspired you?
A: My first inspiration came from J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Other inspirations typically come from other things I have been watching/reading. Sometimes ideas come from nowhere.
Q: What are your aims?
A: With my writing I hope to inspire someone to live a better life. In my opinion, there are a lot of books out there that do not set good examples for people to follow. I am Roman Catholic, and I could write Catholic books, but most people who aren't Catholic would not read them. I want to have my protagonists be good and virtuous people who have to pay for their mistakes and don't take death and whatnot for granted. Fantasy is loved by most everyone, and I want to reach as many people as possible. I hope that my characters show my readers what it really means to live, even in our non-fantasy world.
Q: What plans do you have for the future?
A: In the future I hope I can be only an author, without the need of a second job to support myself and any family I might have. My dream is to live alone in the Colorado mountains and write. As the years go by and I get older, I might switch the wanting to be alone part, but I will never want to live anywhere other than the Colorado mountains.

ANN JONES OF ANN JONES BOOKS INTERVIEW
Hey Mark “Ghostman”
I was inspired by my Mother. Suspense if first for me. My Mom had me hooked on legal suspense novels from a young age. There wasn't a lot of romance in those books. My books tend to lean towards crime and solving cases. I do like to sprinkle in romance, the whisper of a kiss to come 💖
My aim is to try to give readers a book anyone can read with out blushing. A book that provides an escape from daily life to a world of suspense and a bit of romance. I
I plan to keep writing as long as I can. To learn everyday what readers like and don’t like. To improve my skills and write a best seller someday 😊

ANDY MCGRATH -BEASTS OF BRITAIN INTERVIEW
Hey Mark,
cheers for the interview invite. Here's my blurb in line with the questions you asked. please let me know if you need anything else.
Andy :)
What inspired me?
I cannot remember a time when I wasn't into tales of strange or unknown cryptids and OOPAs (Out of Place Animals). As a child growing up in the late 70's and early 80's. I remember being fascinated with television shows like 'In search of ...' with Leonard Nimoy and 'Arthur C Clarke's, Mysterious World' and that I was especially interested in their episodes on lake and sea monsters, Bigfoot and living dinosaurs.
I started taking note of sightings, photo and film evidence from age around age 12, but I didn't really take any of it seriously until December of 1999. I was then 23 years of age and had been staying near the Preseli Mountains in Pembrokeshire, Wales, with the family of my then girlfriend. A friend of her family who was also staying, was a bit of a heavy smoker and had gone out on to the patio one morning at 5am for a smoke. As she sat down and lit her cigarette she was shocked to see a large panther staring at her, too scared to even move she sat motionless, until after around 20 seconds, the panther turned and quietly melted away into the darkness. Later that day as she recounted her story, the sister of my then girlfriend also confessed that she had seen a similar animals whilst riding across the mountain a year or two earlier. In fact it was admitted that the presence of these out of place animals was well known amongst the local population and the owners of the property even claimed to have previously owned 2 lamas which had been injured by some unknown creature that left 4 inch claw marks on their necks and flanks. From this moment i was hooked, and i got my introduction to the Beasts of Britain, in the form of the Alien Big Cats or British Big Cats as they are sometimes known that have been seen by hundreds of people all across the country for many years now. For years after this I kept my eye out for sightings and newspaper stories in the press and was also fortunate to incidentally meet a few other people who had had close encounters with these exotic predatory big cats, in Britain.
This research inevitably led on to other commonplace cryptids like Nessie and Morgawr, The Owlman, Pterosaurs and the British Bigfoot et al. It was my research into these familiar faces of cryptozoology for example, that revealed to me a much larger cache of modern day lake and sea monster sightings, which seem to show a much wider dispersion of these 'prehistoric' cryptids around the British Isles (yes, i think they're plesiosaurs BTW ) and to my mind a transient or roaming population of ocean migrants who inhabit our inshore waters and lakes from time to time, (that's not to say that there aren't any resident monsters as well, no reason we cant have both), most likely following salmon or eels into places like Loch Ness, Lake Windermere or up the River Thames, as in the case of 'Tamsin' the River Thames Monster that was allegedly filmed on 3 separate occasions between March to April of 2016 and incidentally around the time of an eel migration. My research also led me to connect with many experienced researchers and authors of British Cryptids and i feel that I have been enabled to learn so much from the endeavours of these true cryptozoologists, who did most of the real research well before our internet age simplified everything.
What are my aims?
I have just finished writing my first book 'Beasts of Britain' due to be published through CFZ Press, which is about the unknown creatures living right under our noses here on this tiny island in the North Atlantic. I felt I wanted to write about British cryptids and OOPAs because it always seemed to me that most of our 'mystery' creatures were overlooked in favour of other, similar animals in more exciting and far away (and therefore more believable) parts of the world. Indeed, many of the modern reports I discovered of Water Monsters, Bigfoot, Mystery Big Cats and U.F.C's (Unidentified Flying Cryptids), were largely dismissed out of hand or used as tongue in cheek newspaper fillers to entertain us. All failed to illicit any serious investigation of these strange sightings. In my book I try to frame a few theories as to what some of these animals might be, and show taht there is a wealth of independent, corroborative reports that back up what some of these brave witnesses are claiming in to see. I also dedicate some space to known animals that are reported, but not yet accepted as being resident in the UK. Britain is largely a rural landscape dottted about with busy towns and cities, for the most part, an island in darkness, i believe we have both the environment to sustain many hidden species, if nocturnal or intelligent and the prey species to support them.
What plans do I have for the future?
I have written a TV series/documentary under the same name as my book- Beasts of Britain and once the book is released i hope to start pitching it. I kinda had something a little less sensational than Finding Bigfoot & friends and if i get my way, it'll be more of a cross between 'River Monsters' and 'Coast'. I am also involved in some other documentaries, one of which will be filming in the UK in the spring of next year, and I will be giving a few talks on the subject of British Cryptids, starting from this October 22nd at PROBE, who have opened up a section for cryptozoology this year. As far as writing goes, I do have 3 other titles on the burn, 2 of which I have made a start on and another which will be co-written with a well-known Bigfoot researcher.
My hope for the time being is to organise some expeditions and put into practice some of my research methods, in the hope of outsmarting some of these hide and seek champions, and collecting some scientific evidence along the way ;)

Angel B. Hakim interview
What inspired you?
My father was a shaman or a Root Doctor in our home town and as a young girl growing up, I was extremely close with him. His nickname was “Prophet” and he traveled the USA providing spiritual services to many that were being attacked spiritually by the forces of evil. His tool of divination was crystal ball and my mother was a spirit medium. I grew up in a household where spirits and spirituality was apart of our normal everyday life. During my youth I answered the call to follow in my dad's footsteps by using my gift of readings spirits to help those who were in search of a spiritual advisor and someone with knowledge of the occult and particularly the Root. I was inspired by his ability to help clients by using his skills and knowledge of herbal concoctions and the occult to fight the forces of evil and herbs to heal. He was big on being honest in working with people and not taking financial advantage of them. I enjoyed working with my father learning how to properly dress candles, mixed herbs for the spiritual baths, making oils from essential oils and gris gris bags for spiritual protection. I am currently a Master in the art of Tarot and a Master in Reiki. I am studying to continue to increase my knowledge of other arts in the Occult.
What are your aims?
I am working on providing classes to the public that teach Meditation, Tarot, and Spirituality. I'm currently working on the completion of my Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling to become a therapist. I am also growing my spiritual business which currently services 800 plus clients worldwide
. Providing spiritual services along with spiritual readings is the current direction but I will graduate in August and then move to be trained in being a Platform Medium and connecting with the spirits that have crossed over.
What plans are for the future?
My future plans are to get my brand out there and increase the amount of people that I can provide spiritual counseling along with reconnecting my gift of Mediumship gift that was suppressed after the loss of a sibling many years ago. I want to provide spiritual teaching to all that seek the knowledge.

Matt Harvey interviewed
What inspired me?
As a child and a teenager I had lots of scary experiences. Shadows would dart around my room as a kid, my pillow was forcefully pulled from my arms as I was trying to sleep, the closet door would open and a man would be in there and as I got into my teens we moved to a house that was way worse. This house is where I got my start into ghost hunting. I seemed to be home alone often. I always had strange scary experiences. Everything from seeing a black hooded figure, cold spots in the middle of summer when it was 80 degrees in the house, having the closet door open on it's own and having something peer out the blinds at me when no one was home and something walking around in the attic. That was the day my girlfriend now my wife said to me ( you can't be afraid of that thing). That is the day I started investigating the house. The more I investigated, the more I was hooked. My wife really was the one who inspired me. 22 years later, I am still investigating the paranormal.
What are my aims?
My aims are to continue to investigate ghosts / demonic activity in homes and other locations. To continue my research into other paranormal creatures / activity. I want to collect conclusive data that show that they are real. I would also like to expand my research into other things more like UFOs and other phenomenon in the paranormal.
My plans for the future?
My plans are to try and do more Bigfoot research, still help those in need with ghosts at there location, continue to search out more new locations to research the paranormal, be it ghosts, UFOs or other cryptozoological creatures and continue to learn and grow as a paranormal investigator. Getting my own show or being able to get a sponsor to help fund my research would be great.
Thank you for allowing me to answers your questions.

Plans for the future: Well I'm still really getting settled back into uk life but I'm hoping to get out after the cats again and hopefully Ed and I can get the trail can up again. We have formulated a pattern of seasonal movements from logging sightings in the Somerset area on a map so it would be nice if we could get real confirmation of this.

Dave Baxter = cauldronfm = an interview
Well that is a difficult question - many things have inspired me to do it. So to be able to answer fully I need to go back in history. I have always been involved with the entertainment industry, from the early age of 5 I was on stage, at 11 I was studying music with the London College of Music. By the age of 15 I was playing in a band, songwriting and had my first song published by a company called Belsize. I continued life as a musician through various ups and downs and eventually set up an artist management company called Westworld My songwriting consisted of what I would call "normal work" but then I went to Glastonbury and that visit changed my songwriting style and my life forever. During this trip to Glastonbury I met a person who asked me why I had gone to Glastonbury. I could not answer him properly until several days later when I went to the top of the Tor and that revealed to me why I had gone to Glastonbury. From that visit onwards a love affair began and I could not get enough of the place and that love affair continues to this day. During one of my visits in 1989 I did a meditation on the top of the Tor at 5.30am and during that meditation my whole future spread out before me like a roadmap on the satnav. As a result of that meditation I was inspired to write my very first album of instrumental music. In its very rough state I took the basis of that album to a company that was called Pagan Media and they had a record label of the same name. The owner – Steve – really liked what he heard and on the basis of that he offered me a single album deal with an option to extend. We continued to produce the album and although I changed recording studios in mid – stream so to say Pagan Media stuck by their promise and they released the album once it was finished. The album was called Somerset Story and it was only deleted from their catalogue in the USA 3 years ago. During the time we were recording the album I was also working with Halton Borough Council as a freelance consultant to develop a community music project. One part of this project was to set up a community radio station and I was invited to go into the broadcast studio and be interviewed about the album Somerset Story. (The DJ who interviewed me went on to become a senior lecturer at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts) As a result of that interview I was offered a presenting post on the next round of broadcasts which were to take place some 6 months later. I was unsure about accepting the offer but I did and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. So I suppose you could say the die was cast and the seed was sown. Lots of things happened with the band and the work I was doing we were scouted by London Records, I became the Musical Director for the Spotlight Theatre Company, worked with a duo, recorded with OMD and much much more. But now the story has to move forwards to my move to Devon and here as part of my work with Westworld I met someone who was to become a long-standing friend of mine. Between us, this person, Tom Armstrong (who wass also a broadcaster) and I worked on books, CDs, advertising, show production and lots more. We had several projects running one of which was a recording studio based in Georgeham and then Braunton. As part of the studio we set up a video/audio link between control room and recording area. We were also involved with our own theatre and performance training school which was the All-Stars Academy and we put together several productions and as part of that work we recorded the artists in our studio. One of our conversations during these recordings sessions went along the lines of wouldn't it be great if we could broadcast these sessions either on radio or TV? However at that particular time this sort of idea fell at the first hurdle because of the cost and so we continued to work this way until Tom migrated to Lanzarote and I stayed behind with my family. Cutting a long piece of the story out the next major thing that happened with regards to my work in radio was that I was working in a show at the Queens Theatre in Barnstaple when I was interviewed by Lantern Radio as it was then. This interview was with TV presenter, broadcaster and former Bond Girl Jenny Hanley. From this interview I got a telephone call asking me to attend a meeting I did and the upshot of that meeting was that I had my own radio programme on another radio network. The terms of my engagement with the station were that I was allowed to feature music that I wanted not necessarily what was on the playlist. I negotiated hard for this and told the manager that if he wanted me on his team then he would agree to my terms. I stayed with that station for two years and during that time I witnessed and was enthralled by the growth of podcasting. I saw podcasting as being "the future" and decided that getting into this method of broadcasting would give me an opportunity to reach a global audience for very little money and also give me total control over what I broadcast. Now that sounds like I'm a control freak but I'm not! It also sounds like I operate from a place of ego and to a certain extent at that point in my life yes I was! Now however I take on the philosophy of a very highly respected gentlemen Dr Wayne Dyer and his philosophy was and I quote "I like approval I enjoy approval but I don't need approval" So to pick up the story again - from getting the equipment and starting my podcasting I found other people who shared the desire to broadcast their own programs. And so I offered them space on my podcast channel. This podcast and several others that I was doing started to grow in popularity and I then began to look at ways of being able to broadcast a streaming service online rather than having people needing to click to play So I spoke to various people one of whom said I can make that happen for you - and he did! And hence CauldronFM was born alongside Coaching Radio and more lately Capstone Radio However of the three radio channels that I operate only CauldronFM broadcasts 24/7 at the moment What are your aims? Wow another great question. I suppose that the main aim for the radio side of me is to go onto mainstream broadcasting such as an independent radio station the ethos of that being of course that the programming will still be the same. However mainstream "proper" broadcasting comes with constraints on content so maybe that is simply a flight of fancy. What plans do you have for the future? The immediate plan is to obtain a new computer and to link that into my broadcast accounts which will enable me to broadcast Capstone Radio and Coaching Radio on a split daily basis i.e. eight hours devoted to Capstone Radio and four hours to Coaching Radio then 12 hours off air I also want to get back into live broadcasting rather than pre- recorded programmes. There is something very special about doing a live show - you have to think on your feet and I like the buzz that doing that gives me Another thing that I want for CauldronFM and Capstone Radio is to bring more presenters on board so if anyone reading this or listening to it feels that they can become a part of the Moonshadow Media family please get in touch with me What music do you play and do you interview the artists? Ok let's look first at CauldronFM - since this is a pagan orientated service we mostly feature pagan artists or world artists. We are currently play listing are Appalachian prog rock outfit Tuatha Dea; Danish pagan rock band Omnia; American singer songwriter and personal friend Celia Farran and local to N Devon reggae band Malachite Moving over to Capstone Radio the music on there has a more local feel and is currently playing Jess Richards (Bideford); Maggie Davies (Ilfracombe) Dumbos Feather (Exmouth) and Ange Hardy (Williton, Somerset) among others. I often interview the artists about their work and try to get a feel for who they are away from being a performer and touch into their likes and dislikes etc. Probably the three most famous people I have interviewed in the last 12 months are Paul Brett (guitarist with The Strawbs, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown to name but 2) Paul also has a range of signature guitars on sale internationally), The Strawbs were a chart topping band of the 70s with Union Man reaching #2; Tom Newman who produced Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells - the groundbreaking Virgin album of the early 70s. Tom is a multi – platinum producer; and finally actress and TV presenter Jenny Hanley Bond Girl, radio presenter and presenter of the children'

New sun
Mark,
thank you for your interest and willingness to ask about New Sun
When Doug Erickson and I founded what was to become New Sun in 1991, we both came from the school of odd metered Prog music. Such as King Crimson, Yes, and Rush. Doug was also into the improvisational aspect of people like Michael Brook and Robert Fripp. Chris came from a more accessible aspect with influences such as Blue Oyster Cult and Jethro Tull.
We founded our song writing upon the notion that is should challenge the players and the listeners and make them think a bit.
Chris 'Tru' Trujillo and Alex Kley brought in other elements based around odd metered rhythmical grooves and that changed our focus a bit. To groove and not play in 4/4 meter became a big part of our process.
We all believed in the notion of telling stories both musically and lyrically that were both complex and yet accessible by any listener. And we are not tied to anyone style to achieve that goal.
To put out what we write, play live when we can and just create. It is something I personally cannot stop or live without. Whether it inspires or reaches listeners is not something we can control. We write music to challenge ourselves as writers and players first. And deliver a story as best we can with lyrics and music all as one touching an emotional nerve. Something we would enjoy listening to.
Our 5th album “Transitory” will be released this summer and we plan on getting out and doing some shows on the West Coast of US. If it grows and connects, we’ll look to tour Europe in 2017.
CSC has been writing music for TV/Film for 15 years and would like to expand that as well.
You can find the first singles from that album Slipstream Day and Down By Sea averrable on our website www.new-sun.com

Dean slater interview
What inspired you? inspitration came from my teacher Walt Maurus... I created the frist red, white and blue bettas..they were then sent overseas by my teacher the original name I gave to them was Bicenntenial Bettas but this name somehow got changed to Mascot...Walt also created the worlds first Gold bettas and this was before we had the metallic bettas...my goal is to teach as many people about betta genetics and try to bring back dome of the older strains and have online shows that promote strain purity, the betta world has suffered greatly because of the satndards some shows have put on them, while on one hand promoting saving the fish on the other hand making sure only a limitied amount of genes are able to be shown thus crushing the gene pool...let me give you an example...in the category they have for black...only the blackest fish should win...there are 4 strains of blck and the only one of those that show the intense black that they want is the Superblack...so..people tend not to breed the other blacks because they can not compete with the superblack...like Black Lace or Black orchid that always shows blue...the melano has suffered for years because of breeding to steel, this was a mistake..Melano should be bred to red or yellow to carry that gene..instead of a fish that is mostly iridecsent. there are many misconceptions I am trying to get people on the right track and getting the overseas breeders involved as well . What are your aims? I think genetics have also suffered because of misinformation.what are your plans for the future? The breeding of multi colored fish has also diminished the gene pool as breeders multi colored fish are useless...this is also a big strain on the betta world...and pure strains are geetting harder to find...like Blue without metallic or marble genes the problem is when a new thing comes along people want to breed it into everything thus losing the pure strains/

Ray Sweeney..the disability karate federation
What inspired you? Three things: Firstly, I wondered why people were changing as a result of practising karate. So I looked at all the research. Then I decided to to move to Spain and use karate as a vehicle to create social change, disadvantaged or living with poverty. Secondly I discovered that my son has autism. Lastly, when I returned to England 4 years ago I was asked to coach 55 disabled young people in mixed disability groups, one blind, one deaf, one wheelchair user, one autism, one missing limb, one learning disability and I absolutely loved it. A man came up to me and asked if he could teach alongside me and I of course said no. he introduced himself, he was Ian Rose Paralympian and Silver medallist in judo. Ian had his gi with him so we taught side by side and laughed and had fun all day. At the end, he said, "Forget mainstream - you were born to do this" So I did.. Finally I guess I just can't stand idly by while there are people who are disabled, disadvantaged or living with poverty.what are your aims?
We plan to increase participation for people who are disabled, disadvantaged or living with poverty. We do this all over the country with funding from Sport England. We offer real coaching qualifications that are properly accredited. We are now offering apprenticeships and free workplace qualifications as well as free government accredited training opportunities for 16 to 18 year olds. We are working with the European Commission on communications and creating a greater sense of community for marginalised groups in society. What plans do you have for the future? The future? There is so much to do to make karate into a professionally run sport and martial art where everyone can be equally valued and supported to achieve. There is so much to do to use karate to change people's lives.
