This short horror story was inspired by Eyes I dare not meet in dream s by Sunny Moraine which is free to read online.
It seems strange now how we just take the event as normal but that's what happens we as humans desensitisation to all news bad or horrible.
It began on a quiet Friday night at 2.25 a.m ,the sky became blood crimson red, thunder and lightning fought each other to see which was the loudest ,neither won the battle.
Then it began to rain, not normal rain,or showery rain this was the most bizarre and frightful kind.
For out of the ominous black clouds came a furry of dead people, a mixture of young and old.
When landing on the ground some splattered into various body parts, each moving the slow crawl of a zombie.
The rest landing on thier feet almost cat like, these gruesome creatures walked a the pace of a tortoise, letting out dreadful goans ,each had the cold dead stare in thier eyes.
Everyone in the street where I lived Holsworthy came out to see this event occurring before thier unbelieving eyes, each experienced the ancient brain emotions of fight or flight overwhelming thier bodies.
SSome decided to act as heroes ,thier run towards the walking dead to fight but when thier got near the zombie s gathered together in a horde and crept forward surrounding them, herding them like sheep.
Then thier started to bite and tear chunks of human flesh and skin to eat,the dreadful screaming echoed in the stillness of the night.
I could take any further so I ran back into my house and went around like a demented madman locking all the doors, barricaded the windows, I sat down on my sofa rocking back and forth, it seemed to me hell and finally run out of room and was giving the unhallowed wanted souls back.
So here I am present day seeing the event happening around the world, am I scared, fright-crazed, no just numb to the situation as we as humans must care on living as much as possible our so called normal lives.
