Ode to the King

A Sonnet by Mark Antony Raines

My awesome king, you inspire me to write.
How I hate the way you moo, walk and soar,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the textbook tor.

Let me compare you to a grey ember?
You are more unreal, freezing and pleasing.
Bold frost nips the robins of December,
And wintertime has the teasing seizing.

How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your liberal feet, thumb and arms.
Thinking of your surreal thumb fills my days.
My hate for you is the amazing harms.

Now I must away with a standard heart,
Remember my cold words whilst we're ap
