Zombie by Edgar Allen Poe and Mark Antony Raines..based on The Raven

Zombie a reworking of the raven by Edgar Allen poe added bits to poem by Mark Antony Raines.
Once upon a midnight I did dread  while I pondered, weak and weary by the grave,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore, I walked among
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping, and a moaning and groaning
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more." ,so I said .

Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak black December night,
And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; - vainly I had sought to borrow the light of the morn once more.
From my books surcease of sorrow - sorrow for the lost Lenore who was now among the dead outside my door-
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore - who was once my beloved whom now is rotting,
Nameless here for evermore. gravestones left on the muddy earth looking like a macabre set of domino s,

And the silken sad uncertain rustling of each purple curtain
Thrilled me - filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before;  my perspiration drips inside my clothing,
So that now, to still the beating of my heart, I stood repeating,
"'Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door -
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door; -
This it is, and nothing more." Please go from my door for I do not what you in my sweet Lenore ,

Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer, my fight or flight takes over me,
"Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore; for it I that killed with a knife to the heart
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping, scares me to release my body function s,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door, please let me know how to make amends for my sin,
That I scarce was sure I heard you"- here I opened wide the door; -
Darkness there, and nothing more. No mutant animated corpses wander outside the plutonian night,

Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortals ever dared to dream before; for this living nightmares
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token,
And the only word there spoken was the whispered word, "Lenore?" Why do  haunt me I have suffered for my sins,
This I whispered, and an echo murmured back the word, "Lenore!" -
Merely this, and nothing more. Only reply is the groaning and the moaning in the plutonian night sky,no stars looking down on this eerie sight,

Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
"Surely," said I, "surely that is something at my window lattice:
Let me see, then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore -
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore; -
'Tis the wind and nothing more." Still I hear the moaning and groaning creeping closer ,

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a ghastly  flesh rotting zombie of the ungodly  days of yore;
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door - so I climbed and Perched upon the Pallas above near my chamber ,sitting saying nothing as not to give away my hideaway,

Then this creature from the depth of hell, beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore.
"Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou," I said, "art sure no being of the human kind,
Ghastly grim and ancient  zombies
wandering from the Nightly shore -
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!"
Quoth the Zombie for it speaks  the word Brains,

Much I marvelled this ungainly fowl to hear discourse so plainly,
Though its answer little meaning- little relevancy bore;
For we cannot help agreeing that no living human being
Ever yet was blest with seeing the Zombie above bY the thick oak door -
zombie you are beast that terrorizing me as your  finally as you have entered the chamber via the old oak door
With such name as zombie

But the zombie stops still like a statue and it's nose rises to sniff the air,my heart is beating like a speedy drum,
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Out came a loud moan and I swear I heard a word Brains,-
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "other friends have since left me  before -
On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before."
Then the zombie says the word Brains once more, "

Startled at the stillness broken by reply so aptly spoken,
"Doubtless," said I, "what it utters is its only stock and store,
Caught from some unhappy master whom unmerciful Disaster
Followed fast and followed faster till his songs one burden bore -
Till the dirges of his Hope that melancholy burden bore
Of 'Never - nevermore'."will I doubt the mythical creatures of ancient forgotten lore,

But the Zombie still beguiling all my fancy into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat I jump on on from the safety of the pallas  above the oak door
Then upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking  it is time to face my fate
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous zombie of yore -
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt and ominous zombie of yore
Meant in croaking Brains,

This I sat engaged in guessing, but no syllable expressing
To the fowl whose fiery eyes now burned into my bosom's core;
This and more I sat divining, with my head at ease reclining
On the cushion's velvet lining that the lamplight gloated o'er,
But whose velvet violet lining with the lamplight gloating o'er,
She shall press against my body this devilish creative whom was once the woman I loved by the name of Lenore,

Then methought the air grew denser, perfumed from an unseen censer
Swung by Seraphim whose footfalls tinkled on the tufted floor.
"Wretch," I cried, "thy God hath lent thee - by these angels he hath sent thee
Respite - respite and nepenthe, from thy memories of Lenore:
Quaff, oh quaff this kind nepenthe and forget this lost Lenore!"
Quoth the Zombie  just the one word Brains
"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil! - prophet still, if demon or devil! -
Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted -
On this home by horror haunted- tell me truly, I implore -
Is there - is there balm in Gilead? - tell me - tell me, I implore!"
Quoth the Zombie just the word Brains"

"Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil - prophet still, if bird or devil!
By that Heaven that bends above us - by that God we both adore
Tell this soul with sorrow laden if, within the distant Aidenn,
It shall clasp a sainted maiden whom the angels name Lenore -
Clasp a rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore."
Quoth the Zombie still just the one word Brains,

"Be that word our sign in parting, as the Zombie was now upon me I shrieked, upstarting -
"Get thee back into the tempest and the Night's Plutonian shore!              The zombie is finally here I stand still to await to be by my beloved wife Lenore once more even if it is as a Zombie
The zombie Lenore rips my body apart ,my head is split open it gets its prize my juicy brain,I fall to the ground now not a human no more just a cadaver ,with my soul gone to whatever version of heaven or hell awaits,I rise I am Zombie.
