LINGERIE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS’ CEO RELEASES SEQUEL WHILE LFC FILMS PARTNERS WITH 20THCENTURY FOX ON MINI-SERIES
Edmonton, AB – May 28, 2019 – Today marks the official release of Gone By Dawn 2: Dead By Dusk, a gritty crime caper written and directed by Lingerie Fighting Championships CEO and founder Shaun Donnelly. It is the sequel to 2015’s Gone By Dawn which became a surprise hit on late night cable. Both movies focus on the infamous Wisconsin strip club massacre and its after effects on the small town of Stracony. And both feature Lingerie Fighting Championships fighters in supporting roles.
“The films have given me a chance to showcase some of our fighters in other ways,” Donnelly says. “There is a lot of talent on our roster.”
Fandango NOW released both movies together as a double feature earlier this month and Gone By Dawn 2 is now available on iTunes in the US (https://apple.co/2w8QktL) and in Canada (https://apple.co/2EajL2C). It is also being carried by iN DEMAND and most major cable systems. Donnelly is already working on a third installment in the series, rumored to be a prequel entitled Gone by Dawn 3:Before The Dawn
Meanwhile LFC Films recently signed a deal with Moxie Motion Pictures and 20th Century Fox to produce a 6 episode mini-series called Gladiatrix: Crescent Moon. Set in the 3rd century AD, the series chronicles the adventures of female gladiators. The series is based on the novel The Crescent by Las Vegas author Cynthia Vespia.
The series will begin principal photography in August and will be shot in Drumheller, Calgary and Las Vegas. 20thCentury Fox has already begun promoting the series, recently taking out billboards in Hollywood. One of the billboards features Lingerie Fighting Championships Agatha ‘Cannibal’ Carter while another features Carter and Jolene ‘The Valkyrie’ Hexx.
“My hope is LFC Films can do for our fighters what WWE Films has done for theirs,” Donnelly says.
