Reagan and I.
Reagan and I by Freddy the Freak Horror Host
I am a a Catholic priest sent by my orders at the Vatican to performed an exorcism on an archaeological dig in the ancient city of Hatra in Iraq. Whilst in the process of the exocism I find an amulet that resembles a statue of Pazuzu, a demon of ancient origins with whose history Merrin is familiar,a powerful spirit demon who is bad to defeat I just hope I have stopped him this time for if not I fear for the world.
In Holsworthy,Devon ,England a young actress by the name Chris MacNeil is living on location with her 12-year-old daughter Regan; she is starring in a film about student activism directed by her friend and associate Burke Dennings,a bit of a art movie kind.
After playing with a Ouija board Reagan and her sleep over friends end up contacting a ghostly spirit whom is called Captain Howdy.
Regan begins acting strangely, including making mysterious noises, stealing, constantly using obscene language, and exhibiting abnormal strength this at first is put down by her mother as normal teenage behaviour as Her mother was not one for conflict and would like get on with her script for her largest film .
Chris hosts a party, during which Regan comes downstairs unannounced, tells one of the guests—an astronaut—that he will die ”up there” and then urinates on the floor much to the disgust of her mother and the guests,Reagan is told to apologise to the astronaut dressed guest and clean up her mess she does neither .
As the guest dressed as an astronaut is getting in his car he thinks to himself about Reagan s strange prediction and then starts the engine and goes on his journey home.
As he is going along the motorway a police car flags him down,he thinks it must be his rail lights. He stops at the cold shoulder and awaits as the police officer approach s and winds down his window.
The police officer has a strange blank expression in his face,in a deadpan voice he asks the man to please depart from his car.
As the astronaut dressed man stands he is suddenly and with extreme violence set upon by the police officer who is carrying a large knife in his hands and calmly hatchs at the astronaut dressed man until he is dead, the police officer then puts down the knife and gets back in the car leaving the crimson red cadaver of the at On the floor with the words written in blood up there by his side.
The police officer then drives his car at high speed straight at a lorry killing him instantly on impact.
In bed Reagan begins to shake violently, further adding to her mother's horror as she watched from the entrance to her daughter s room .
Chris consults a number of physicians, a Dr. Klein and his associates find nothing physiologically wrong with her daughter, despite Regan undergoing a battery of diagnostic tests at various apartments at North Devon District Hospital based in Barnstaple ,Devon.
One night when Chris is out on a late night filming she asks Burke Dennings to babysit a heavily sedated Regan.
Burke liked this babysitting job as he waited until his employer Chris left the house and checked on Reagan being out like a light due to sedation then he went downstairs and casually helped himself to some snacks,a bottle of whiskey and put on the television to watch a box set .
Whilst watching the television he heard a voice calling him from upstairs ,at first he ignores it ,the the voice gets louder.
Burke goes upstairs to to investigate that it is not Reagan not playing a trick on him.
As he peers around the door leading to Reagan s room he finds himself being pulled by a invisible force towards her bedroom window.
Chris is informed at her film scene that they have received a call saying she was needed at home straight away .As Chris car enters her driveway she sees the broken figure of Burke who has died falling out of the window.
Although this is assumed to have been an accident given Burke's history of heavy drinking, his death is investigated by Lieutenant William Kinderman.
Kinderman interviews Chris who informs him of Reagan s recent years and mental health check by psychiatrist Dr.Klien recently shaken after the death of his frail mother.
Dr.Kliens mother had died of a heart attack and a strange blank expression on her face.
The doctor tells the lieutenant that Regan's aberrations are mostly psychological in origin, and bizarrely recommends an exorcism should be performed, reasoning that believing oneself to be possessed can sometimes be cured by believing that exorcism works as well.
Chris arranges a meeting with me and has discussion about her daughter Reagan requiring an exorcism which I agree to perform to give her piece of mind and to feed my curiosity .
On my first visit to see Regan she speaks backward, in different voices, and exhibits scars in the form of the words "Help Me" on her stomach.
I am convinced that Regan is possessed. Believing her soul is in danger, I decide to perform an exorcism. The experienced Merrin is selected for performing the actual exorcism with me assisting.
We both witness Regan perform a series of bizarre, vulgar acts. As we attempt to exorcise the demon the stubborn entity toys with them, especially me.
I show my weakness and i am dismissed by Merrin, who attempts the exorcism alone which is against Vatican policy when dealing with a possible demonic entity.
I re-enter the room later and discover that Merrin has died of a heart attack.
After failing to revive Merrin, .I become enraged and confront the mocking, laughing spirit, and I wrestle Regan's body to the ground.
At my invitation, it leaves Regan's body and possesses mind instead.. In a moment of self-sacrifice, the I throw himself out of the window before I can be compelled to harm Regan.
I am mortally injured. Father Dyer, an old friend of mine happens upon the scene and administers the last rites to his friend.
A few days later, Regan, now back to her normal self, prepares to leave for Los Angeles with her mother. Although Regan has no apparent recollection of her possession, she is moved by the sight of Dyer's clerical collar to kiss him on the cheek. Kinderman, who narrowly misses their departure, befriends Father Dyer as he investigates my death.
Just when it seems all over a name is written on the wall,Pazuzu lives again.
For you unknown to the priests fighting the spirit of Pazuzu was he used a reversal spell before the priest that was I jumped out of the window and the face looking in the mirror sitting in a room in Los Angeles was not Reagan it was the demon Pazuzu who was now the proud owner of Reagan s soul.
