Film Review
BARRY AND JOAN (12A)Running Time (87 minutes)
This is a quirky documentary about the world of theatre and performance.
Barry and Joan Grantham can best be described as an eccentric couple who been on stage for 70 years, Joan is a piano genius and Barry a dance legend wanting to pass own thier unique skills.
In a series of fly on the wall footage, interviews from workshops with students you get plenty of anecdotes.
It a insight in to the world of theatre that is truly entertaining
5 stars
WILD MEN (15) Running Time (120 minutes)
This is a Danish screwball comedy about Martin who is having a breakdown as he is tried cycling, ironman to stave his inadequacy he tells his wife he going to a work seminar but disappears to live alone in the Norwegian woods mainly as an Neanderthal.
Clan in animal skins ,carrying an axe but he not totally committed as he still has his phone.
One day he accidentally robs a petrol station where meets a criminal on the run.
During being on the run Martin finds clarity of the meaning of life ..
A bizarre tale worth it just for a little bit of escapism
