Nurse so rude...no right to ask about sex life

What give the right for a distinct nurse based in Holsworthy Devon were we live to ask my wife Enid the following question...Are you and your Husband having sex if so he needs to be careful of your stomach wound ,you could always have sex sideways.My wife Enid did not know what to say and was embarrassed.Myself am angry with this line of questions as it our  personal lives of I ask the other way round about theirs i would be in trouble with the law.My wife Enid is making the excuse that ask others same questions but I object mostly due to fact it's is none of their business and fact my wife is recovering still from stomach wound and is disabled like myself  .
