GHOST S BY MARK ANTONY RAINES

A wet leaf fell on her shoulder making her jump in fear. Startled she shifted from her hiding place behind the bush.
The air was cold;her heart beating like a  drum:her anxiety going through the roof .
The  wind gathers a pace ;suddenely she hears a crack of a near by tree branch.
She feels  sweaty hand place on her shoulder ;this makes her startle .
She turns around.
"Boo"
Oh  stop being a pratt John:i dont like playing this game anymore can we go back home"
Jonny  a blonde haired;slightly overweight   walks off with Jayne a dark haired ;slightly underweight   girl  back through the woods to the house  up the lane.
The house is a little worse for ware and could  do with a few  things that need mending  a good lick of paint  and then after  this graft  it look respectful again.

As   Jonny and Jayne enter the house the front door slowly creeks slams shut  which echoes around the house like a bad yodal .
Both Jonny and Jayne climb up the stairs each step making a noise similar to  squeaking mouse then thier reached  the landing .
The nursery  door  flies open  and the babies cot is rocking  back and forth ;the chimes hanging   by the cot spin around and around; the sound of a baby   crying  but  when  you  get closer to  the  cot their  is only a doll dressed  in baby clothes  suckling  a dummy.
The floor  boards   creek  at every  foot step;a black  shadow  stands in the corner letting  out a maniacal  laugh.
Both the children  stop dead in thier tracks keeping  very  still as if turned  to  stone .
A clock  chimes  times  twelve  ;midnight    has  arrived  in the plutonian darkness as all the lights  in the  house  go out at  once.
Both  children  let a ear piercing  screaming  until  no air is left in thier tiny  underformed  lungs.
Thier skin  goes a dull blue colour  then suddenly  the  light s go back  on .
'Surprise :Happy    Birthday "
Jonny  and  Jayne let out a huge  sigh of relief :thier  cheeks  get flushed  with a bright  red.
Jonny  and Jayne  tell everyone  how relieved that it was not ghost s in the house  just  thier friends  giving  them  a surprise  birthday  party.
Jonny "I liked  the dark  shadow  creature  in the corner ;that was a nice  touch "
Jayne  said  'My favourite  bit was the creepy  doll:it made me shiver all  over my body "
All the people  at the  party  just  looked them  in a confused  manner.
Finally  one of them said.
"What  dark shadow :we  placed no doll"
Both  Jonny and  Jayne  were stunned and amazed.
In a corner  of the room  sitting  in the darkness  of the  shadow s sat a  raggy:disfigured  doll and next to her a dark shadow  looked  on  :both waiting  for the  party to finish  to care on thier haunting.
