I wrote Confessions of a Helmet-Free Childhood,True-ish Tales of an Analog Upbringing
-a collection of 13 humorous essays that serve a a wayback machine that captures former childhood
mishaps and the lessons learned. While the stories are personal, the appeal is universal.
The conversation can go any number of ways.
I would argue, our truer self was revealed on the playground.
How to hang on to the good stuff gof being a kid? (curiosity, living in the moment, being
our authentic selves) What were the “gifts” of childhood that prepared
us for adult life? What were the things we left -that we should get back.
And let’s have some laughs about childhood “over tea."

Like any kid, she made bad calls, big mistakes, and sometimes simply found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Book Review - I like this book as I read the first chapter it reminded me of my time growing up in the 70s-i was in 1962 and remember most of my childhood ,yes the 60-79s had problems but this book excellently written by the author draws you in to a time when kids did something more than just be online,is online was not quite that great back then.inspiring,reflecting ,a jolly great read
