U.S.S LEXINGTON DISCOVERED.

The wreckage of a rusting world war two plane which was discovered in seabed is part of the wreckage of aircraft carrier U.S.S LEXINGTON .The U.S.S LEXINGTON sank after being crippled by Japanese warplanes in Battle of Coral Sea on May 8th 1942.The wreckage was found 500 miles off Australia and two miles down by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allens research vessel.The Battle of Coral Sea was the first in which opposing ships did not come in sight of each other and fought with carrier launched aircraft.
