The new Enchanted Duo book/album release is 148 pages of magic and almost 30 minutes of ethereal music, poems and spoken word. We've also included a 12 minute meditation that will take you even deeper into the enchanted forest.
What started as a journey within and one ethereal song became a full-scale project involving professionals for mixing, mastering, reviewing and layout.
So far we have managed to finance the project ourselves. But after receiving the first test prints we're really disappointed with the varying print quality delivered by the print on demand company. Colour variations, scratches and so on...
Therefore, the project has come to a point where we need your help. Instead of using the print on demand concept involving digital printing techniques we'll print EVANESCERE as a limited edition with the more reliable offset printing technique.

The EVANESCERE Music
The Evanescere music took us places we didn't expect and deep into the enchanted forest. The ethereal rock song Ephemeral will sound familiar to existing Enchanted Duo fans. But the rest? Well, it's an elaborate mixture of ethereal music, channelled messages, stories and spoken word. We thought it would be fun to record parts of the book. Try to bring to life the magic we felt in the words. And they grew into songs with music and spoken word.
"I was making my way through moss, trees and branches. This particular part of the forest was a bit tricky to get through. As I pushed through some low bushed I happened upon a large moose. He got up on his legs quickly, ready to protect himself, his crown of antlers towering majestically. I tried soothing words, but I had triggered his instincts. What should I do? ..." (From EVANESCERE, "His Majesty").
We love what we do and we love being so deeply connected with the words and the music drawing inspiration from the nature surrounding us. But we also appreciate all the feedback we get from our fans and so the last track, the meditation took form just because you described our music as tranquil and meditative.
It is always a challenge setting out onto a new journey and a new direction, but thrilling at the same time. We've learnt so much about music, expression and how we like to work. Suddenly all the pieces are coming together. Challenging at first, but combined they make magic.

The meditation is a combination of several poems, plus some improvisations. We're blending sounds of nature with electronic and electric guitars creating both relaxing floating sections and rhythmic rocky sections. We hope you will love it!

The EVANESCERE Book
The moose is waiting to take you up on his back and into the forest on a magical spiritual ride. Or perhaps you'd prefer to run, barefoot in the moss? Or would you rather let the white dragon carry you to the top of the mountain to tell you her secrets? These are just a few of the adventures waiting for you.
"I'm running. I don't remember being so fast. But I feel strong. Strong enough to run forever. The forest surrounds me, shades me, refreshes me, embraces me. I run. My legs are long, slim and strong. My feet are bare. Every step touches the ground and feels the heart of the forest itself. Every footstep is a heartbeat. ..." (From EVANESCERE).
The EVANESCERE book is like a deep dive into the world of nature magic. This is the first time that we combine music and lyrics with a book. There is a complete story hidden in there for you to find. It's told through moments in time - some are short stories and some are poems.
For us the experience we give you matters and so we wanted this book to be special. Not just white pages with text. We wanted it to come to life. Because of this we've hired professionals to help with layout to create something unique.

The EVANESCERE Art
Both the EVANESCERE artwork and the art in the EVANESCERE book is original paintings by Anneli the divine feminine half of Enchanted Duo. Anneli says herself a bit surprised that she's had acrylic paint laying around all her life but never before figured out how to paint with them. This is what happens when the time is right. Magic. Suddenly all these intense moments wanted to take form - in words, in pictures and in music.

The EVANESCERE Concept
Welcome into a world of nature magic, progressiv music and amazing visuals. A world that we (Anneli and Nicko) have been living in for decades and now want to share with you.
So how to share this world with you? There are many dimensions to a world and so we've chosen music (this is where everything started for us), original art and words. To create a product package like this is new to us, feels absolutely amazing and we hope you're going to love it as we do.
EVANESCERE is latin and means "to vanish". That is the theme of our product package. To remove the conditioned layers put on each and every one of us and to discover who we really are. This is why we say it's a spiritual book and theme album. It's about finding the soul.
Anneli writes most of the lyrics from Enchanted Duo and has written the book with so called channelled writing. It means that one lets go and simply listens within and tune in to hear the otherworlds, the higher self and the soul and then translates the feelings into words. Secret messages to whoever is destined to receive them. Even if it started out as trying to understand the self, we've since realized these messages are for you, wherever you are. The words will take a different meaning depending on who's reading them.
Last, but not least, we love flying with the drone to capture amazing nature and stunning views. From these captures we create video installations to go with the music. During the crowdfunding we will share our videos with you.

The Contributors

Mix: Michael Thorén, Studiofabriken
It's Michael that we send our recorded tracks to and sometimes we join him in the studio to do the mix. We feel he adds a lot of musical experience to the Enchanted Duo sound from behind his analog mixing console. We deal with struggles back an forth but mostly they are solved within a happy atmosphere.

Behind the scenes and budget
Behind the scenes it's a lot more work than one can imagine. Composing, photographing, writing, designing, thinking how to combine everything... But it's soooo much fun!
It feels good to be able to do all of this from home because as a married couple with kids touring is not a priority.
This is the first time we do a crowdfunding. Let's make that fun too!
We've chosen to fund only a part of the project. A project such as this costs considerably more than asked for here. The funding goal, if reached, will cover the printing costs of a limited edition of EVANESCERE. This is your chance to support independent music and publishing!
