ROLAND WATSON INTERVIEW

What inspires me? The thousands of witnesses who insist they saw something strange in Loch Ness.

My plans? Keep visiting the loch, keep deploying search equipment, keep reviewing the evidence for new angles and keep exposing inane sceptical arguments.

Regards

Roland

The Porbeagle shark is the closest relative to the Great WhiteTHIS monster shark was caught by two stunned fishermen just a few hundred metres off the coast of Cornwall.

Nearby hundreds of tourists played in the sea on the hottest weekend of the year so far.

LITTER.

Saw on the television and heard on the radio about a new fine if you drop litter and a new campaign to make people more aware.I can rememember being told from a young age always put your litter in a bin and if not or bin full take it home not to drop on the road causing an unsightly mess.Sometimes if you have larger iems or speacialict you may need to pay to take it away which can be expensive and could be reason for flytipping.

http://www.groovees.co.uk

GrooVees first started doing bulk buy deals in 2010 as a test to see if the idea could work in rural communities, the idea being to help support the local economy by providing a risk free way for local businesses to generate new local customers and as a way of giving local folk the opportunity to try new things at an affordable price that they might not otherwise get to hear about.
Our belief in sharing, in local community for a sustainable planet is present in everything we do.
  • We only run GrooVee deals for local businesses. You won't find national chains here.
  • We only run GrooVees for products or services that we have tried or at the very least have checked out ourselves, so you can be sure that you'll only see deals for things we can recommend
  • We often (but not always) reciprocate with local causes or local community groups or services (such as schools, charities etc) to generate funds for them and new members or buyers for GrooVees
  • We like to employ local suppliers where we need them to run GrooVees as a business and our plans for growth will enable us to provide local and flexible home-based working opportunities in rural communities throughout the South West
  • GrooVees is open to all to join and it's completely free of charge. An ethos of mutual respect and trust is the foundation of membership and the way we work.
Sign up and we'll send you our GrooVee deals in your community each week - you'll never miss a deal.
If you'd like to talk to us about anything else then please do get in touch. We'd love to hear from you.

Saturn moon 'able to support life'

Jets of EnceladusSaturn's ice-crusted moon Enceladus may now be the single best place to go to look for life beyond Earth.
The assessment comes on the heels of new observations at the 500km-wide world made by the Cassini probe.
It has flown through and sampled the waters from a subsurface ocean that is being jetted into space.
Cassini’s chemistry analysis strongly suggests the Enceladean seafloor has hot fluid vents - places that on Earth are known to teem with life.
To be clear: the existence of such hydrothermal systems is not a guarantee that organisms are present on the little moon; its environment may still be sterile. But the new results make a compelling case to return to this world with more sophisticated instrumentation - technologies that can re-sample the ejected water for clear evidence that biology is also at play.
"We're pretty darn sure that the internal ocean of Enceladus is habitable and we need to go back and investigate it further," said Cassini scientist Dr Hunter Waite -READ MORE

Professional wrestling is a dramatized athletic performance that portrays a combat sport.[1] Taking the form of live events held by touring promotions, it is a unique style of combat based on a combination of adopted styles, which include classical wrestlingcatch wrestling and various forms of martial arts, as well as an innovative style based on grappling (holds/throws), striking, and aerialism. Various forms of weaponry are sometimes used.
The content – including match outcomes – is scripted and choreographed, and the combative actions and reactions are performed to appear violent without injuring the wrestlers.[2] Before the 1980s, these facts were considered trade secrets; in the mid-90s, the pretense that professional wrestling was 'real' was largely done away with. By and large, the true nature of the content is ignored by the performing promotion in official media in order to sustain and promote the willing suspension of disbelief for the audience by maintaining an aura of verisimilitude. Fan communications by individual wrestlers and promotions through outside media (i.e., interviews) will often directly acknowledge the fictional nature of the spectacle, making the predetermined nature of the sport something of an open secret. The presentation of scripted events as legitimate is known as "kayfabe".
Although the combative content is staged and communicated between the wrestlers, there are legitimate physical hazards involved - including permanent injury and death.

History[edit]

Originating as a popular form of entertainment in 19th-century Europe[3] and later as a sideshow exhibition in North American traveling carnivals and vaudeville halls, professional wrestling grew into a standalone genre of entertainment with many diverse variations in cultures around the globe, and is now considered a multimillion-dollar entertainment industry. While it has greatly declined in Europe, in North America it has experienced several different periods of prominent cultural popularity during its century and a half of existence. The advent of television gave professional wrestling a new outlet, and wrestling (along with boxing) was instrumental in making pay-per-view a viable method of content delivery.wiki link
