QUEEN ENID BY MARK ANTHONY RAINES
The discovery was mind blowing by most standards. I mean who unearths an Egyptian mummy after so many centuries?
"Dr.Hima! "
I turn surprised by my assistant's shout. His wide, frightened eyes stare back at me. "What is it, Ron?"
He points at the corner of the mummy's coffin. "That's dried blood, Dr. I think there's someone else in there with that mummy."
"Dont be so silly the mummy curse thing was overstated in the media of the early days of architectural finds most so called curse death did not happen to many years later after the event and mostly nothing happened at all."said Dr Himal.
Ron was still feeling very much uneasy as he was sure it was dried blood on the mummies coffin.
Time went on slowly in the tomb of the potentially new pharaoh :the digging was slow due to the light of the torchlights keep flicking on and off to the point that our hired helpers got spooked by it and mutterings if words in in Egyptian and left just me and Dr.Himel in the tomb.
Dr Himal was in a state of obsession he was determined to prove two things Egyptian mummies curses were a way of the Egyptian priests from stopping looting and making the pharaoh more god like the other simply for his own personal gain and honour of finding a new unknown pharaoh.
Ron was tasked with cleaning off the the writing on the coffin lid.
As Ron cleaned it he steps back looking white as a ghost and his body shaking all over and his finger pointing to the inscription.
Dr Himal tutted to himself and decidedto see what the fuss was all about.
Dr Himal read the inscription.
"You have entered this tomb and sealed your fate for this is the forbidden tomb of Queen Enid the Third who will take your souls and raise again on the earth.
To once more feed on the people "
Many centuries before this event took place Queen Enid had drank the blood of her latest victim when a gathering of priests with an ancient book muttered the words that made Queen Enid go to sleep so then thier could bury her alive and entombed her in her pyramid forever.
Back in the tomb Ron tried to stop Dr.Himal from opening up the coffin lid of Queen Enid but it was too late.
A red mist filled the room :sounds of horrific moaning and screaming filled the atmosphere : on the floor area the bodies of Ron and Dr Himal completely drained of blood making them milky white cadavers.
Sitting upright in the coffin is Queen Enid ready to rule the world one more time and drink as much blood as possible.
