Coma by Mark antony raines

I heard distant voices calling out my name.

(Mark, It is time for you to wake up )

At first, I resisted the voices, but then I felt an uncontrollable urge to get my body and mind awakened once more upon the world.

I opened my eyes slowly to just the bright light of the bright orange glow of the life-giving sun.

(Where am I).

But my voice was almost inaudible due to it sounded like a hoarse creak.

As I scanned my surroundings I saw a room that was pale white, and the ceiling was the same, I heard the distinct blip, a blip of a machine monitoring my life signs, yes that would explain the clinical setting, I was in a hospital.

I then managed to clear my throat with a series of hearty coughs.

(How did I get here)

I had no reply as suddenly several people entered the room, all seemed to be pleased to see me, and each wanted to examine me as if I was some kind of monster from a b movie who just escaped the laboratory from the mad scientist.

Then one of the group with a kind face asked me.

(How are you feeling Mark?).

I was about to reply to this hustling voice when I felt a severe headache come on followed by a piercing flashback.

I was driving a car, and in the back, I could hear the sounds of young children complaining of being bored and wondering if we were at our destination yet.

Beside me in the front was my wife, giving her usual fake laugh and smile to hide the fact this was annoying her.

Suddenly I hear my brakes screech and my car falling down a cliff at the speed of a bizarre avalanche.

I briefly woke up, covered in blood, I scan the car to my horror my two children are not in the back, but in the front embedded into the front car window, their tiny heads were on the floor, decapitated from their bodies, they had in their argument earlier taken off the life-saving swat belt, despite telling them each time they got into the car, cluck, click every trip.

I next looked for my wife, she had her neck broken by the impact of the two children's momentum.

I collapsed into a coma out of sheer shock, my brain got overloaded with too much information for it to process at one time.

As the voices tried to talk to me to reassure me, I decided that I did not wish to hear them anymore, I drift back into my coma and my last thought is I never wish to wake up again.
