In the year of 1951 in the office of the governor of the eastern state of Harro he is looking at the local paper The daily Sun in which the headline read that a man named Preston was to be pardoned.
The governor called in his his assistant to ask him why he had gone against his orders to hae Preston not in prison for murder.
His assistant said he had found possible evidence of his innocence in his dairy.
The governor said he would listen as Preston was condemned to be put to death in the next hour.
So the assistant began to read from the dairy.
A year ago Preston who was is an scientist was on holiday in our country as part of a international exhibition of Robots.
Preston had some knowledge in the field and wanted to find out more about what was new in the fabrication of robots.
At the exhibition he meet a fellow scientist a Miss Jane Cotherstone.
After the initial handshake thier had a debate about robots and ended up having dinner with each other.
A few weeks later thier romance grew and thier married and went on thier honeymoon.
Each went to task at Preston so laboratory were one day a letter arrived.
In the letter was a message from a former student whom had found a clue to a robot made a hundred years ago based in Glasgow :Scotland.
So after discussing with his wife who have an argument about him going on a wild goose chase and she would stay around
in the laboratory to get on with his other assistant Susan Boyle who she did not trust one inch.
Jane finds out she was right to be concerned about Susan as she was secretly in love with Preston and wanted him to help away from Jane.
Meanwhile in Glasgow Preston and his former talk about the famed Bulmere robot and how it may not be a myth after all.
As his former student had found fragments of notes of research into electronics and may have been a robot built by Julian Bulmere who was dispite being a malformed dwarf was a genius but also considered a madman by his peers.
It turned out he longed for the love of woman as many had spurred his advances.
So he decided to build a woman who he could idolise and she back.
Julian needed a woman's body to serve his purpose as it was needed for a framework for his planned strange device so he heard that a recent murderess was hanged so he fetched her from the gallows.
He then took the body back to his laboratory and began his fantastic experiment.
Preston said at this point that he never tired of such stories as it was written by the madman himself.
But you are wrong said his former student for this information was written by Amy Matthews the same girl whose body disappeared from the gallows and was never found and she calls herself a monster doll rather than a robot I wonder what happened to her or shall we say it.
As both looked into the case more proof came about of eyewitness who saw Bulmere with a girl who appeared out of nowhere.
Months later Bulmere was found murdered with a bundle of papers in the fireplace luckily some of the charred notes were able to be read and I have them here.
Preston read them with amazement and awe for it confirmed that he did build a robot.
But where had Amy or the monster doll or robot disappeared as the trail had gone cold a long time ago.
Preston decided to go home back to his beloved wife and on the plane he thought what a creature this robot must be to have a robots machinery in a woman's body.
Preston got home and was told by Susan how his wife disliked her for sending him on a fools errand unknown by her she was overhead by his wife .
His wife informed him he was wanted urgently in his laboratory as something was wrong with the equipment.
Whilst he was gone Jane told Susan to pack her bags and leave.
A heated argument was exchanges between them were Susan accused Jane of being of lacking human emotions and being heartless like a robot at this Jane ,s mood terrifying changed and she trys to push Susan down the stairs but missed and falls herself and is flat on the floor so Susan goes to check her over but finds no broken bones or a pulse this is the last thing she does on planet earth as she is strangled to death.
When Preston comes back as he was not wanted at the laboratory he asked his wife want had happened and was completely shocked to find that his wife had found Susan strangled.
A sudden light bulb thought came to Preston head was not Amy Matthews hanged for being a murderess but how could his wife be the monster doll he had to find out .
Preston picks up a sharp letter opener and precedes to stab her with it a drops it to the floor when she feels no pain .
Jane or is it Amy picks up the sharp letter opener and moves towards his head intent in burying in his head .
No one must know I am really a robot .
Just as she was about to put the letter opener to his head and knock on the door with a voice saying police so the monster doll thought quickly and struck the letter opener in her own throat and collapsed on the ground looking she had been murdered.
The police arrested Preston for the murder of his wife and the suspected murder of his assistant so the rest is history and as the governor heard this he picked up the phone to stop the execution of Preston but he was too late for the assigned person give Preston a full charge of electric burning him to just a charred cadaver and she left the prison with a smile on her face and was free once more to be the monster doll.
The end or just a beginning of a new nightmare.
